With my dad at Broomend of Crichie pictish stone.

I have been exploring the stone circles of northern Scotland all my life.  The north east of Scotland is home to many recumbent stone circles, a style found only here and in south west Ireland.  Explorations further north to the Orkney islands are rewarded with the magnificence of the neolithic heart of Orkney, a UNESCO world heritage site.  The on-going excavations at Ness of Brodgar are creating tremendous excitement.  This is a showcase for photos of some of the sites I visit.  Please contact me if you are interested in exploring these sites.  Thanks and best wishes, David White
